- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar

- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
DIRECTIONS
- Using cooking spray or butter, grease a 9-inch (23-cm) cake pan and preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
- Cream the butter and sugar in a different, big bowl until they are light and fluffy. Stir in the vanilla extract after beating in each egg one at a time.
- Mix well before adding the mashed bananas to the wet mixture.
- Alternately add the dry ingredients and buttermilk to the wet mixture while adding the dry ingredients gradually. Combine just until combined.
